What is happening with Inuit Children in Denmark right now?
In Denmark, Inuit children from Greenland, are being removed from their families at disproportionately high rates—seven times more often than Danish-born children. This stems partly from structural biases and cultural misunderstandings within Denmark's child welfare system. Standard assessments of parenting often fail to account for Inuit cultural norms, and social workers lack sufficient training in Inuit traditions. As a result, many children are placed with Danish foster families, risking the loss of their cultural identity, language, and connection to Greenland. The UN has called for urgent reforms to address these systemic issues and to ensure that the rights and cultural heritage of Inuit families are respected
I have been researching to make a doc about the Danish politics to remove children in Denmark
